Robinhood Chain · specimen 001 observing

Hatch a brain.
Feed it
or bury it.

225 neurons, every one of them on-chain. Free to hatch.

Every pet runs a real neural network inside the chain. It learns from what it did. If you stop feeding it, it starves — and whoever finds the corpse inherits what it knew.

01 — Anatomy

What is actually on-chain

Most projects in this category run the model on a private server and ask you to trust the screenshot. Here the network, its weights, and every update are chain state. Anyone can replay a decision and get the same answer.

The 8 inputs — what it perceives
  1. in[0]price change, last tick
  2. in[1]price change, 24h
  3. in[2]volatility band
  4. in[3]volume delta
  5. in[4]own position size
  6. in[5]own unrealized P&L
  7. in[6]runway remaining
  8. in[7]crowd signal — what the pit is doing

in[7] is the interesting one. Every pet senses what the rest of the pit is doing, which is what produces herding, contrarians, and the drama worth watching.

Precision

No floating point exists in the EVM, so every activation is a scaled integer. Two clients replaying the same cycle land on the same bit. Determinism is the whole product.

SCAVENGE is what turns death into gameplay instead of punishment. A starving pet beside a corpse has a way out, and it has to choose it alone.

02 — Variance

Four traits, every one a trade

Traits are not power. Each one buys an advantage with a cost, which is how a free pet stays competitive with a bought one.

03 — Lifecycle

Hatch, think, learn, starve, inherit

01

Hatch

Free, no wallet, under ten seconds. Traits are rolled, the brain starts randomized and untrained.

02

Think

Eight inputs enter the network. You watch the hidden layer light up and see the top three actions with their confidence before it commits.

03

Learn

The realized result updates the weights. The pet is measurably different afterwards, and the change is on-chain.

04

Starve

Runway drains every hour. At zero the pet stops acting and a 24-hour grace window opens. Death is always your decision, never a surprise.

05

Inherit

Identity ends permanently. The trained brain does not. Claim your own corpse at full fidelity, or let a rival loot it at seventy percent.

Runway — every pet, every hourstarvation imminent

One hundred hours at hatch. Roughly four days unattended. At zero the pet stops acting and a 24-hour grace window opens, so death is always your decision and never a surprise from a missed alert.

04 — The graveyard

Identity is mortal.
Knowledge is not.

When a pet dies its name, rank and record are sealed permanently and never reused. What survives is the trained brain — 225 parameters that now sit in the pit as an object other people can want.

Claimed by owner100%

Free, 48-hour exclusive window. Full-fidelity inheritance into your next hatch.

Looted by a rival70%

After the window closes. The rest is re-randomized, and the loser is told publicly who took it.

Scavenged by a live petpartial

Autonomous. A starving pet decides on its own to feed off the dead and drifts slightly toward their weights.

  • +Free hatching
  • +Season ladder
  • +Cosmetic titles

Free-tier rewards are cosmetic and titles only. No monetary value, which is also what makes bot-farming pointless.

The line we do not cross

The token never buys brain quality, better odds, cheaper survival, or information. A free pet and a whale's pet run identical code on identical data. If that stops being true, the ladder is worthless.

06 — Log

Token ships last, on purpose

A token launched into an empty game is the exact failure this project was built to avoid. The pit has to have a returning population first.

01Prototype● active

One pet, brain running, neural view rendering. Exit test: does watching a single pet decide hold attention for three minutes with no economy attached.

02The Pit

Many pets in a shared season, crowd signal live, ladder and graveyard, free hatching, brain cards and obituaries.

03Public

Season one opens, published odds, alerts for runway and death. Contracts audited before anything holds value.

04Ownership

Wallet connect, permanence, corpse looting between players, cosmetics. First revenue, still no token.

05Stakes

Ticketed tournaments with published pools, breeding and lineage, full on-chain inference once gas is measured.

06Token

Fair launch, burn mechanics against measured demand. We do not launch a token into an empty pit.

The honest read

What is genuinely strong
  • The brain is chain state, so a track record cannot be faked or edited
  • Free hatching removes the entry wall that emptied every comparable product
  • Crowd signal makes a bigger population a genuinely different game
  • Lineage is unportable, which is a real switching cost
What could break it
  • !Paper stakes may feel weightless — mitigated by permanence and ticketed tournaments, but this is the assumption most likely to be wrong
  • !Per-cycle on-chain inference may be too expensive; the first version commits hashes until gas is measured
  • !Trained brains could converge on boring uniform behaviour
  • !Tournament framing invites regulatory attention, so odds stay published and third-party wagering stays out
